New Hotels Opening in Singapore 2021 and 2022

Even as we compiled this list of new hotel openings, you’re probably wondering when you’ll be able to take your next business trip or vacation to Singapore.  

While we’ve put a pause on travel, we are looking forward to the days of checking-in to a new hotel, the warm hospitality and even a serendipitous moment at the hotel bar.

When the time comes and it is safe to travel again, consider and look forward to these new hotel openings in Singapore: 

ParkRoyal Collection Marina Bay (2021)



The Marina Mandarin will undergo a $45mil renovation and be rebranded as the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay. The 575-room property will remain open for guests. Renovations are expected to be carried out in phases and will be completed by Q1 2021. The hotel will incorporate many eco-conscious features and debut a new garden-in-a-hotel concept. The iconic atrium architecture of John Portman (he designed two hotels in Singapore including The Regent Singapore) will be celebrated through a modernised and sustainable upgrade including UV-treated glass, lush gardens and sculptural pavilions shaped like bird cages. Newly updated Guest Rooms will feature timbre flooring and revamped F&B offerings.

Pan Pacific Orchard (2021)

When it debuts in 2021, Pan Pacific Orchard will be the Group’s first zero-waste hotel. Designed by WOHA (the award winning firm behind PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering), the iconic hotel will feature four levels of soaring gardens,  a rainwater harvesting system, a recyclable water system, and a compactor that transforms food waste into compost, amongst other innovative elements. The hotel will offer 350 eco-friendly rooms and will feature a gym, swimming pool, bars and restaurants, a club lounge and sky terrace.

Formerly managed by the Six Senses Group, the two boutique hotels will reopen in 2021 under Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Located in the charming Chinatown precinct of Singapore, surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops, both properties will retain the same unique look and feel, including their F&B outlets save for the addition of a new Indian Restaurant and Bar SHIKAR to the Maxwell property. 

When it first opened just under two years ago in 2018 as the first urban properties for the luxury spa and resort group, Six Senses Duxton was designed by British interior designer Anoushka Hempel featuring 49 guest rooms while the Six Senses Maxwell was designed by French designer and architect Jacques Garcia with 138 guest rooms. Housed in a 19th-century buildings typical with Singapore’s heritage shophouses creating a unique experience. 

The Singapore EDITION by Marriot (2022)

EDITION Hotels is the boutique luxury-lifestyle brand conceived by American hotelier Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International. Situated in key gateway cities, it currently has 7 properties including London, New York and Barcelona with 14 more in the pipeline. The Singapore EDITION, its fifth in Asia, will be a 190 room property situated on Orchard Road at the site of the former Boulevard Hotel. It will feature the personal, intimate and individualised lodging experience that Ian Schrager has come to be known for.

Hilton Singapore Orchard (2022)

The iconic Mandarin Orchard Singapore will be rebranded as the Hilton Singapore Orchard, and be the flagship and largest Hilton hotel in the Asia-Pacific when it debuts in 2022.  The hotel remains open as it undergoes an extensive $90 million renovation in phases and is expected to be completed by end 2021 with 1,080 new guest rooms, five restaurants and bars. New meeting facilities spanning over 3,765 square metres including three ballrooms will be available to cater to more MICE events and growing demands in this sector. 

Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa (2022)

Managed by AccorHotels, The Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa, will be the second Raffles Hotel when it opens in 2022 and Singapore’s first villa-only hotel. Featuring 61 private villas, each with a private swimming pool, the property spans over 17 football fields and will be situated adjacent to the existing Sofitel Sentosa Spa & Resort. The hotel will be a new interpretation of the iconic Raffles Brand designed by Toronto-based practice Yabu Pushelberg. Facilities will include a Writer’s Bar, restaurants, a fitness centre, and two meeting rooms.

Artyzen Cuscaden Singapore (2022)

Hong Kong-based Artyzen Hospitality Group will debut its first Singapore property, the Artyzen Cuscaden, a 20-story,142-room hotel located on Cuscaden Road in the Orchard Road Precinct. The property will incorporate Peranakan inspired elements into its design and F&B offerings.  Hotel facilities will include three restaurants and bars, and a Garden Spa and Gym on the 5th floor with views of Singapore.

Club Street Hotel (TBA) by Worldwide Hotels (2022)

Worldwide Hotels, Singapore’s largest tourist class hotel group (they operate 38 hotels and over 6,500 rooms) will launch its flagship property, an 800-room 4-star hotel at Club Street Singapore. The 20-story hotel will be situated in a prime location next to Chinatown within walking distance to Telok Ayer MRT station and many great restaurants and bars in the Ang Siang Hill neighbourhood. Little details are known but we can be assured that it will offer good value and affordability for tourists and business travellers on a budget.
